Kata Noi Beach

Kata Noi Beach is 850 metres long and is the baby sister of Kata Beach - just a few minutes’ drive south. It is a beautiful snug little bay at the end of a cul-de-sac largely dominated by the Kata Thani Resort and Spa. This lovely peaceful beach with its beautiful turquoise water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling or relaxing on the beach soaking up the tropical sun.

The massive Kata Thani Resort has almost 500 rooms and suites, six restaurants, offering a wide array of Thai and international cuisine, five bars, tropical gardens and six swimming pools. Within walking distance of Kata Noi Beach is Mom Tri’s Villa Royale a five-star boutique property offering an award winning restaurant and a wine list that has won the Wine Spectator’s ‘Award of Excellence’ several years running.

Although very small, Kata Noi has a good selection of small shops, convenience stores and massage boutiques it also has the advantage of being much less crowded than its neighboring beaches. There is ample parking space and taxis and tuk tuks are always available for hire.

A little further south up the hill from Kata Noi Beach is one of best and most popular viewpoints on the island. Locally known as Khao Saam Haad (Three Beaches Hill), the magnificent view looks out at the Andaman Sea and, as it name suggests, offers a panoramic view of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon beaches giving a perfect photo opportunity.

On the road leading to the viewpoint from Kata Noi Beach are several open-air restaurants with friendly local staff offering delicious Thai and international fare and with the superb views it is the perfect place for an early evening meal or cocktail while watching the sun go down over the clear waters of the Andaman Sea.
