Ya Nui Beach
Two kilometres from Nai Harn, Ya Nui Beach lies tucked away between the spectacular views of Phromthep Cape and the Windmill Viewpoint.
This beautiful little cove is an excellent spot for swimming, snorkeling, fishing and kayaking. During high season masks, fins, body boards and kayaks are available to hire from vendors on the beach at very reasonable rates. Small and secluded beaches are becoming hard to find on Phuket but Ya Nui is one of the few quiet and quaint beaches perfect for a family day out.
There are three possible approaches to Ya Nui Beach; from Nai Harn following the road over the hill and down to the beach; descending from the north side of Phromthep Cape or from Rawai a left turn at the Rawai-Promthep intersection will take you to the beach. There are parking spaces available for cars and motorbikes close to the beach.
The uninhabited island of Koh Keyao Noi sits 700 metres out to sea from Ya Nui and in calm weather is used by local fishermen and a mooring point for yachts. In the high season it is possible to swim out and explore the fascinating corals and colourful marine life around this small island.
Close to Ya Nui there are bungalows for rent, a couple of restaurants and stalls selling fresh fruit, snacks and souvenirs. For a more extensive range of dining and shopping, nearby Rawai and Nai Harn provide a good choice.
There are plenty of up market hotels around Ya Nui beach – The Royal Phuket Yacht Club, Evason Phuket Resort & Spa and Mangosteen Resort & Spa to name but a few. The closest and best nightlife to be found is around the Rawai area, where there are plenty of bars along the sea front and the Laguna nightclub that is open late into the night.

*Please note that at Ya Nui beach along with all other Phuket beaches entering the sea during low season is NOT recommended, strong currents and rip tides make them dangerous, even to strong swimmers.
