Paklok is just a few kilometres east of the Heroines Monument in the north-east district of Thalang, and just a 30 minute drive from Phuket Town. Paklok is a quiet area with a few housing developments and detached homes. The close proximity to schools around the area and Phuket International Airport only a 30 minute drive away make Paklok a popular place to live.

One of the attractions close by to Paklok is the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park a wildlife sanctuary set in 23 square kilometres of virgin rain forest. The park endeavours to protect a wide range of endangered wild animals such as slow lorises, mouse deer, gibbons, langurs, monkeys and several species of birds.

The Mission Hills Phuket Golf Resort in Paklok offers a stunning 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Opened in 2004 the resort has many luxurious facilities; a swimming pool with a pool-bar, gymnasium, Jacuzzi and an excellent restaurant serving both Thai and International cuisine.

The closest place for main stream shopping and nightlife is Phuket Town, but there are however plenty of smaller shopping outlets and 24 hour convenience stores within a very short distance of Paklok. With its central location on Phuket, Paklok is within easy driving distance of some of the islands best marinas, golf courses and the quietest and most beautiful beaches on Phuket.
