Chalong Holiday Apartments - Chalong is the central hub of southern Phuket with Kata, Karon and Rawai beaches and Phuket town all within a twenty minute drive. Chalong Bay and its impressive 720 metre pier is the launching site for dozens of day trips for scuba divers exploring the fascinating underwater world surrounding Phuket that has made it a world class diving destination. The most visited and largest Buddhist temple in Phuket is Wat Chalong. Just north of Chalong Circle, Wat Chalong is a fascinating historical collection of small temples where local Thais gather to show their respect and deliver offerings. A short but steep trip up the hill closer to Chalong Circle will bring you to the recently built Big Buddha, a huge 45 metre structure sitting on the tip of the hill, and offers some magnificent 360 degree views over south Phuket.
